Trip Overview

On this day some friends and I put in at Nankin Bridge around 0900 with a destination of Mozell Spell(Clyattville-Madison Hwy). This stretch is about ten miles of slow lazy river, with very little development.

About 2 miles from the end, you will run into Line rapids and short class 1 rapid with one class 2 chute(when the water is high enough. This is also a good place to look for arrowheads.

There is one small spring about a mile below Line Rapids with a bench. (land owner is not friendly)

Just past the take out point at Mozell spells is a very good rope swing with app. 10 ft high banks dropping into a very deep hole. (Lots of yahoos on the weekends)

Fees:

none

Directions:

Entry point: From Clyatville go west on Nankin Road. Boat ramp is about 7 miles on left(watch closely)

Exit point: From Clyatville go 5 miles down Madison hwy. take road to right before bridge
