Looking for a quick sea kayaking trip that everyone in your group can do? Voyaguers National Park has it all, from day trips to extended 7+ day adventures....

I wanted to highlight a quick kayaking trip for paddlers of all abilities....Begin at the Ash River Visitor Center, and enjoy an 11-15 mile paddle to historic Kettle Falls hotel....for beginners we spend one night under the stars, on the sandy beaches on one of numerous designated campsites. NO FEE, NO PERMITS, NO RESV. Enjoy scenic waterfalls, Historic mining areas or past logging camps....amazing scenery, abundant wildlife, small network of islands and passages, creating incredible kayaking channels....

Kettle Falls is a fully functional hotel and restaurant. Spend the night or have a beer and enjoy the atmosphere of this boat-in only accessible hotel....fun trips that can take as little as 2 days or spend a week exploring the area....

Accommodations:

A wide range of Accommodations exist. Stay at a resort, and then at Kettle Falls, or Camping is allowed with no fees, no permits, and no reservations...

Directions:

From Mpls/St. Paul go N on Hwy 35, just north of Black Bear casino is a short cut: Hwy 33 takes you through Cloquet and directly to Hwy 53 that continues north directly to Ash River or the Resort community of Kabetogama.
