Trip Overview

We put in here and took out at Us 40. The day we went the USGS was reporting 2.3’ of water depth at Darbyville (the only reporting location). I would recommend closer to 3’ for this stretch. There was virtually no current and we had to walk the kayaks about 10 Times. The trip took just over 5 hours, with some casual paddling. The put in has a good gravel parking lot with room for about 12 vehicles. No rest rooms. It is a short to moderate walk down a easy slope to put in. The take out is a steep hill.

Portage Notes

These were Small downed trees and fairly easy to climb over.
