Trip Overview

From the put-in at my place on US 27 to take-outs 5 and 10 miles downstream, this peaceful little river helps me get reconnected to my soulguaranteed to do the same for anyone receptive to such notions. Camping is possible along the way. The upper 5-miler is an easy afternoon at decent water levels while the full 10-mile run will require an early start for a day trip. Sandbars and streamside meadows are available, but permission of landowners is strongly encouraged. Email me for more details.

Directions:

From Atlanta: I-20 west to US27 exit. Go north about 15 or so miles. Take gravel road on right (Garner Rd). Park in grassy area and shoot anyone who is leaving a mess. :) This is my property and I am ok with any responsible paddlers going there.

Launches:

Go back north to M Sanders Rd (Turn Right). At dead end, take another right. Cross river bridge and turn left (gravel drive marked posted). Go across small bridge. Usually someone is around at the river or at the wood house on right near small bridge...Get permission to park and take out.
