Sweet Arrow Lake in Pennsylvania

Trip Overview

Put in at a small parking lot with one ramp at Sweet Arrow Lake; nice weather. Water was very choppy in middle and east side of lake.

Paddled around the East end of lake to explore the winding shore line and around lillypads, found where the Upper Little Swatara Creek flows into the Lake (by far the best part of the trip). The creek is fairly narrow but was plenty deep enough and was an easy paddle upstream winding through-ducking underneath some fallen trees. it is also a fallen tree across the creek that was the turn around spot. Next time will portage around and explore up-creek some more. Would definitely recommend for beginner.
