We left our car in Anoka and were dropped off at Rum River Andover. Rum River Andover has a small parking lot and a short path to the river. We kayaked to the Dam in Anoka and then to the boat launch at the entrance to the Mississippi river. Easy, calm river. Portage is short. Took about 3 hours at a very relaxed pace.

There is a little place to get out on the left side of the dam. Then a short walk to a fish/boat dock on just the other side of the dam.
