We set out from the Fernydale Lane Bridge between Ovens and Eurobin on the Ovens River in north east Victoria with the intention to paddle to Whorouly some 32 kms away with a camp near Myrtleford. The fishing was good however the swift water caught up the first timers in the group which slowed progress. We ended up pulling out at the Nimmo Bridge reserve near Myrtleford with the camp being 2 kms upstream.
Portage Notes
A 100m portage right at the Nimmo reserve around a rated rapid which is clearly marked.
