Trip Overview

If you go out about a mile, on the side where the pier (opposite the side of the gas station) is, you can see 3 goats, and chickens,. There are lots of gators, turtles, and other wild life.

There are a lot of little islands so you can make the trip as long or as short, and there are plenty of little coves to explore

Be prepared for the boats coming in and out that will create some fun waves to bob up and down with. The boat ramp and channel directly behind the gas station seems to host the smaller and slower boats if you are worried of the speed boats on the other channel.

It is possible to fish in this area, husband was able to catch a small catfish in about 30 minutes.

Accommodations:

Gas station with gas for boats, propane tank refill, crawfish, BBQ, cold drinks

Fees:

No fees

Directions:

Travel the causeway bridge (northshore parkway) and turn left onto 471 and travel approximately 1 mile- we like to park our 14 foot trailer on the side where the gas station is for easier maneuverability.
