A 3-day, 48-mile journey on the lower Flint River in southwest Georgia Oct. 9-12. This trip features three days of beautiful paddling including excursions to several freshwater blue hole springs, three nights of on-river camping, catered meals, on-river and in-camp education programs, campsites with restrooms and showers and camaraderie with other paddlers. Two-day options are also available.
Georgia River Network provides lead and sweep boats as well as additional safety boats. Land-based and river-based staff ensure as safe a trip as possible.
Participants must provide their own boats, paddles and PFDs. Georgia River Network can direct participants to nearby outfitters for gear rental.
Average high temperature is 80; average low is 55. On average about 2.5 inches of rain fall during the month of October in this area. Expect warm temperatures suitable for swimming during the day.
