Trip Overview

We took the kayaks out to the Latta Plantation North Canoe Access on Sample Rd for a quiet paddle on a perfect Autumn Day. The warm sun and cool breeze were perfect for viewing the start of fall foliage along the shore.

We hugged the shore, popping into shady outcroppings of trees in the nature preserve and into shallow coves where the discovery of massive Carp solicited a "What?! Where?" from a fisherman in the woods.

Accommodations:

The Canoe Access has a parking lot that is a very short distance from the water, making it easy to unload and launch from the beach and get on your way.

Fees:

No fees for the Canoe Access.
