you can either pay £3 to park or day or if its not busy there is a space just outside the car park for free but you have to walk slightly further. Loads of car parking. access is by the bridge down a worn bank, but not difficult. I chose to go in and turn right under the bridge and i went about 30 minutes before there was a weir. I didn't investigate but guess there must have been somewhere to get out and go through to other side but i just went back as it was just a quick paddle. When i went the river was very calm and quite low as it had not rained for a while and hardly any flow. Really relaxing ride
