Launch at Withlacoochee River RV Park

A self-supported trip created by paddler484583

Trip Overview

Paddled South (upstream) on the Withlacoochee River into really nice cypress swamps. The air was crisp and smelled so natural and fresh! There was a $20 dock fee but the lady running the park was amazingly helpful and nice, and gave us free run of the river until sundown. Parts of the river are still recovering from hurricane Irma but I wouldn’t have known if no one told me!

Conditions

Very easy launch, easy paddle for the most part, save one downed tree which you can paddle around it’s north/easternmost side with some effort. Almost no litter in the river!
