Trip Overview

Boy talk about your cold, clear, fast river. This is the river god kayaks on his days off. You have every thing on this river.

Put in at Graves Crossing road. The state has a nice launch and right next door is a state forest campground with facilities. We took out at Webster Road, another nice state launch with facilities. The day we ran this stretch the temp was around 85. So going through the cedar swamp areas was like having the AC turned on. Beautiful forest of cedars, hemlock, tamarack. Saw one eagle during the day.

We were following behind a group that had some novices that were making a bit of noise so most wildlife disappeared. At each put-in/take out is a box set up for donations of your empty cans (Michigan has .10 deposit)to help in keeping the river clean.
