Trip Overview

Launched at Jim Lake and paddled diagonally across the lake to a portage trail into Jim Creek.

Paddled up and down Jim Creek to explore and enjoy the scenery. The creek had no noticable current and was crystal clear.

Accommodations:

No facilities at the launch site.

Fees:

Not aware of any permit requirements.

Directions:

Drive north out of Anchorage and take old Glen Highway towards Palmer. Cross Knik River bridge and turn right at Maude Rd past mile marker 13. Drive back towards the mountains and continue on the gravel/dirt road which passes by Maude lake and ends at Jim Lake.
