Greenland to Iceland Yacht-Based Sea Kayak and Hike

Trip Overview

$8,650.00 /person

The landscapes on this journey are breathtaking and the yacht provides the opportunity to experience new and inspiring adventures everyday. You’ll start in the town of Ísafjörður Iceland, and spend 3 days exploring Hornstrandir Nature Reserve. The area features towering sea walls home to thousands of nesting birds such as Puffins, Arctic Terns, Black Guillemots, Kittiwakes, Razorbills and Fulmars. You’ll then cross the Denmark Strait.  Dolphins and Whales will join you for part of the journey, using the bow wave for a free ride.

Your arrival in Greenland is marked by spectacular views of one of the Arctic’s highest mountain ranges.  Glaciers carve their way down through these mountains and expel huge quantities of ice into the ocean. This provides a kayak playground of icebergs to explore. You will spend 6-7 days exploring this raw and wild region.  You will slowly make your way down to Kulusuk an area rich in East Greenlandic culture, and will fly out of Kulusuk back to Iceland.
