Trip Overview

French River in Oxford, Mass, is a very easy 2-3 hour trip. It winds it's way from Oxford Center to Webster. Very slow lazy current. In mid to late summer however it gets thick with weeds and is sometimes difficult to follow. Plenty of wildlife. Put in off Charlton Street at Hodges dam.

Directions:

Route 395 to exit 4b, through lights, watch for Hodges dam on left about 1/2 mile after light.

Launches:

Put in at Hodges dam, follow to the end at north main street. Take out under the old railraod bridge.
