Fallen Leaf Lake is a large Alpine Lake surrounded by majestic pines and granite peaks. The weather is typical Sierra Nevada unpredictable, layers are a must. The water is clean and clear the wild life is limited and changes seasonally. The amenities in the small village at the Lake are great! Powerboats are allowed but after paddling on Tahoe the few we encountered were no problem.
