Trip Overview

Paddled on the Coosa River on April 19, 2003. The damn was releasing water at 8000 cfs, the largest flow possible. It created some pretty large class III rapids and had trouble surfing on some of the waves because it was too turbulant. Over all, a great time, it is a short trip, we did it in about 3 hours with plenty of top time and playing. A little chilly, but by May it should warm up. A whitewater river in which anyone can paddle.
