Trip Overview

This trip started out at Jigg's landing ($3.00 to launch) located on Evers Reservoir. Our goal was to paddle to Linger Lodge and have lunch and paddle back to our starting point. Paddle south to the entrance of the Braden. It is about four miles to Linger Lodge along the way you might see some wildlife, birds, gators and turtles and part of the river has homes lining one bank. The water is tannin stained and there is little current so the paddle is not hard in either direction. Eating at Linger Lodge is interesting as you are surrounded by many of Florida's creatures (stuffed)the menu is large and not expensive. They open at 11:30. They also have some picnic tables if you just need to take a break. This is a relaxing paddle.
