Trip Overview
I put in at the bridge in Seminary on HWY 590 just off of HWY 49. The ground is packed firm there, so I was able to drive my car pretty close to the water and I was able to leave my car there overnight for kayak camping.
It was a solo trip, but with two outfitters dropping people off at the same location, the river stays pretty busy for the first 7 miles of the trip.
I camped about 16 miles downriver on a really nice sand bar a few miles just north of Lux. I covered the 16 miles in about 6.5 hours.
The following morning I launched at 8 and paddled approximately 8 or 9 miles to Peps Point Rd. in 3.5 hours.
I should note that the flow of the river does pick up between Lux and where the two Bouie Rivers meet. There were also about half a dozen spots where trees were down that I had to carefully navigate.
