Trip Overview

Beautiful lake to visit.

My wife and I visit this park at least 2 times a year traveling over 2 hours to get there. The lilly pads pretty much take over 75% of the lake during the summer. The water is a spooky black color because of all the vegetation living in the water.

Don't expect to spend all day paddling this lake. You can do it from end to end in about 4 hours. If you are looking for a full day at this park, paddle the early morning and spend the rest of the day hiking the trail around the lake.
Beautiful sites to see doing both.

Fees:

No fees to visit this park. Just need a DCNR Launch pass.

Short distance off interstate 80

Resources:

Stop at the Ranger Station and grab a park map.
