Trip Overview

We had 5 kayaks that put in at Alkire Road and Gardner Road near railroad tracks (accessed river on west side); river was a bit low but we made it through with only 1 person having to get out 1 time to get through low spot. We came out at Harrisburg-Georgesville Road just past Trapper Johns Canoe livery (opposite side). Took almost 4 hours and was a beautiful day; we had fun

Accommodations:

Parking was great at both locations and was very easy for put in and take out.

Directions:

Took Kropp Road to Public Canoe Assess just south of Alkire Road.

Resources:

We stopped at Osprey Lake and grabbed a Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park map of the River and Trail Areas; this was very helpful
