Trip Overview

This is my wife and my second trip to Big Creek Bayou.

We decided after exploring to the right from the launch under the bridge on hwy 115, to give it a try going to the left of the bridge this trip.

This was a very exciting paddle, and saw much more wildlife. We saw several alligators this trip, most of them small (2-4 ft.)and very shy, couldn't get a good pic because they wouldn't let us get close enough.

This is also a very beautiful paddle, with lots of trees and shade to paddle through. Big Creek Bayou is certainly our favorite place to go and enjoy a relaxing, yet exciting paddle.

There's good fishing though out the bayou and plenty of places to stop and stretch your legs.
