Trip Overview
Put in at Arbuckle Lake and did a 2+ mile float to ramp takeout. Ancient Cypress trees, absolutely beautiful, and an easy paddle/float for beginners.
Water is dark with tannin, I suggest you maintain silence during the float for a wonderful spiritual experience. This is one of the best float trips I have found in 25 years of kayaking and canoeing...
Accommodations:
The put in ramp asks for donation of $5 and was unattended.
The take out is a ramp with dock after first 2 1/2 miles.
