Trip Overview

Crabers heaven -- also known as Waldport, Oregon...

I just paddle so this makes for fun entertainment.

Alsea bay in Waldport has excellent launching beach at the visitors center, south end of bridge, Highway 1.

Early October was great weather and no crowds.

Paddle Alsea Bay then head up river. Friendly anglers and pets passing slowly in boats. This is easy paddling as far as you want to go.

Be aware of the salmon and steelhead jumping across your bow... you might get one in your lap.
