6-Day Golfo Dulce 'Full Experience' Trip

Trip Overview

$1,299.00 /person

Join Tropical Sea Kayaking for a 6-Day escape kayaking one of the few tropical fjords in the world, experiencing the most abundant exotic flora & fauna in Costa Rica. You will paddle the calm, warm waters of the Golfo Dulce (Sweet Gulf) in a single or double enclosed, sturdy kayak while surrounded by the tropical backdrop of Rainforests and Jungle Mountains. Paddle up the Mangrove Rivers, and watch Dolphins, Turtles, False Killer Whales, and the migrating Humpback Whales swim next to your kayak.
Sleep in super comfortable glamping cabins right next to the Piedras Blancas National Park, and wake up to the jungle sounds (howler Monkey & Macaws) and excellent views of the Sweet Gulf! You’ll experience the best of super-natural Costa Rica on this tropical adventure, and taste the natural flavors of the Costa Rican cuisine; all while staying at beautiful and comfortable eco-lodges.

Safety is the number 1 priority. Guides are trained in CPR, First Aid, and Wilderness Responder, and always carry a first aid kid. The closest town with medical facilities and doctors is only 30 minutes away, throughout the trip.

All gear is in top condition. Sturdy, sit-inside kayaks with comfortable, fully adjustable seats, and footrests are provided. The majority of trips use Perception Expression kayaks up to 15 feet, and Tsunamis 140 from Wilderness Systems. NRS life jackets and skirts, as well as Skagit Werner paddles are used. Inflatable stand up paddle boards are available to play with.

The majority of the season has calm, glass-like water conditions, and hot sunny days. From May through September changes of tropical showers are greater, but temperatures are always warm to hot, with high humidity rates. Water temperatures are warm year round. This is the perfect winter escape to warm up and enjoy plenty of sunshine.
