This is a well-known fishing spot and allows entry into the Alabama River near the dam, or you can stay in Silver Creek Lake.

For paddlers, the lake is a great area to launch and paddle for a 2-3 mile paddle around the perimeter. There are mostly birds, fish, and lots of water bugs, however we did not encounter gators. Very calm low-current lake.

Primitive campground located nearby (Silver Creek Park), porta potty restroom accommodation, small kids park with playground, and a small boatramp and dock that allows entry to Silver Creek Lake. Unlit parking and dock area.
