- Warmington Mill
Description
Come off the A605, turning right for Warmington Mill, and take immediate right to drive down to the Mill/Elton Boat club at the bottom of the road. There is a body of water behind the mill that you can get into that takes you via a tributary to the river Nene (though at present there is a fallen poplar tree across the water - if this is still there then head over the Nene Way footpath behind the Mill building out towards Warmington Lock. Before you get there you cross a footbridge over a small body of water that you can enter to then navigate down to the main body of water that leads to the Nene).
UPDATE May 2021: The poplar tree is still across the tributary and the flood plain between the mill and the lock is soon to become a gravel pit and the public footpath will be diverted. The downstream stretch from the lock can be covered in an hour or less upstream from Elton lock.
