St. Rose du Nord is a picturesque village situated near the river's edge and nestled between the mountain ridges that run the length of the fjord. There is a great camping area that offers flush toilets near the sites showers in a big barn-like structure, picnic tables on site and sweeping views of the Saguenay. There is a convenience store in the village for last minute items, and two restaurants down by the water's edge serving local Quebecois cuisine at reasonable prices. Parking is in a mowed field and is at no charge. There is also a tourist information center should you wish to learn more about the area.
