This modest, narrow day-use park (8am — dusk) is sandwiched between private properties. Water access is approximately 130 yards from the small free parking area. There is no formal boat launch, just a path you can use to carry a kayak or canoe down to the water. There are a couple of benches above the beach, but very little shade. No bathrooms or potable water.
From here it's a short paddle across Kansas Cove to Turn Island State Park. Currents in the area can warrant consideration. (I'm unsure if the currents inside the cove are ever noteworthy.)
