Thiensville Village Park

Milwaukee River

Description

Located in downtown Thiensville and is located north of the dam. Nice paddle upstream with no obstructions. There a few low water spots near some islands so just follow the “slow no wake” buoys and you will be just fine. Several nice houses to look at as well as wildlife. Eagles, deer along the river bank, and several species of birds. It’s a quiet paddle, during the weekend there might be more boat traffic, but we usually go before noon and there are few if any boats on the river. You can also launch south of the dam and paddle down towards Glendale. (2020). Don’t know about current water levels. Great family place. Has swings and other playground fun for the kids.
