Downstream paddle from the Sands playing fields in Durham to Finchale Priory. Check water level in river before undertaking as if low there are no-navigable sections and if high you can find some basic white water. Drop in at the sands is parking meter. Get out at Finchale is a paid car park. There are paid bathrooms at Finchale.
