- Swanson Island - Whales & Wilderness Camp
Description
Spirit of the West Adventures' property and luxury wilderness camp is located on Swanson Island on the edge of Blackfish Sound and the Broughton Archipelago - the heart of orca and humpback territory. Exclusive boat access. The established camp is built directly by the sea, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, surrounded by old growth rainforest and wild beaches. Situated in arguably one of the best areas for viewing whales on the West Coast. Imagine beautiful, big white canvas tents on big wooden platforms set against the backdrop of towering fir trees and the blues and greens of the ocean lapping at your doorstep.
Clean and comfortable outhouses, shared shower with the best view in the heart of the forest, a wood-fired hot tub right by the ocean, camp furniture such as lounges, benches, hammocks to relax and watch the West Coast’s best wildlife and sunsets, kitchen and dining area to enjoy our culinary meals or to discuss the daily plans and activities, solar-powered battery charging station.
