Southworth Ferry Beach

Puget Sound / North Colvos Passage

Description

At the end of Sebring Road 10 feet north of the Southworth Ferry Terminal is a very narrow bit of public access. The only reason to use this site rather than Yukon Harbor further north, which has parking and other amenities is if you carry your kayak, (or hand tow via a cart or scupper wheels) on to the ferry. If you do arrive at Southworth without a car, it is best to board the ferry after all the vehicles and be the last one off the ferry. Then follow the cars 100 yards up past the toll plaza, then make a sharp turn to the right and proceed down to the beach on Sebring Road. Keep to the right at the very end. FYI: Refer to https://psearch.kitsapgov.com/psearch/ for a property map that shows the street to be fully public all the way to the water. There are no facilities and is no parking.
