Sark is an amazing island in the Channel Islands. A 12 mile crossing
from Jersey to the south and about 5 miles from Guernsey to the west.
Tidal streams run fast around the headlands and through some of the
narrow channels, 5-6 knots is not uncommon on Spring Tides.
A
circumnavigation of the Island is just over 8 nautical miles with some
of the most spectacular coastal scenery you will find anywhere. The
island itself is fascinating, with no cars. It requires some effort to
get there but you won't be disappointed.
