Short trip west / downstream to st.croix / Mississippi outlet. Calm waters. Can back track to drop in. Best after winter when waters are high or downed trees may make passage impossible. Eastward / upstream, more doable. Multiple points needing to pull in and out of river to pass large obstacles like bever dams and other large debris blocking the river. Side note: dont bring small pets. Eagles and vultures everywhere. Drop point for canes and kayaks can be very muddy at times. Bring boots.
