Fishing & Bird Watching Originally the City of Moberly’s water supply (hence the name), the 20-acre Water Works Lake offers recreational opportunities today. A favorite of fisherman and bird-watchers alike, Water Works Lake is surrounded by scenic forest. Water Works Lake features a fishing dock and a boat launch so you can either paddle around in leisure or try to bring in “the big one.”
