Medium sized lake for the area with a number of inlets, small bays, wetlands, etc. Oakland County airport is immediately east and there is a fair amount small plane/biz jet air traffic. Lots of lakeshore and island housing, perhaps 70% residential. Launch is part of Pontiac Lake Recreation Area and requires a Michigan Recreation Passport for entry.
Lake is popular for fishing and the occasional skier so small boat wakes are to be expected. There are a few shallower spots (0 - 5') with sand bottoms that are nice for practicing wet exits, rolls, re-entries while still being able to just stand up and walk to shore if needed
