Description

New landing stage constructed specifically for canoes and SUPs, which gets very congested in the season. Tearoom is open from 10:00 hrs. Most areas are tree lined so little wind. Takes a leisurely 45 mins in each direction before locks. This is a beautiful place to paddle and good for the soul.

Essex Waterways canoe or SUP licence required (available online). If you are a member of a local canoe club be prepared to show evidence of membership. An Essex Waterways River warden patrols this area.
