Old Alton

Hickory Creek - Denton, US

Description

Going south feeds into lewisville Lake. There is some fishing traffic, but not as bad since this is far from the mouth at lewisville lake. Launching by the bridge is challenging and can be rocky. The river is peaceful and shielded from winds. Some underwater branches and debris. Far and few stopping points, very muddy banks. Trails are all around, while still feeling very remote with wildlife.
