Description

A quaint narrow estuary, providing calm waters, tucked out of the wind mostly, with great variety of bird life, mammals, redwood forest. Launch is a public boat launch. $3 parking by iron ranger (envelope will be put on windshield by harbor district) Head upstream for serenity on medium to high tides. Head down stream and check out the working fishing harbor and boats a bite to eat. For those with sea legs, head out for rock garden exploration or stay in deep water and go into the big blue and enjoy great views of the Lost Coast, and the coastal beauty. Bathrooms in main marina just before launch.
