Description
Butler Park kayak/canoe launch Is located off price Boulevard near the new water park.(northport aquatic center) As you head towards The park it Is located off price Boulevard. The canal and launch is on your left about 300feet on the left once you take the access road off price Boulevard. Do you launch is quite accessible because it has plastic floats which hold aluminum framing and PVC piping rollers, it’s quite comfortable to launch and return to the platform. Once you’re in the canal, find your bearings then If you head west from this point you’ll end up at Marina Park in Northport. it’s not too far past the dam. it’s a comfortable hour and a half to two hour kayak excursion.(One way) Been there a few times it’s quite enjoyable. Just a suggestion it’s best to have four people due to the fact that it’s nice to have two people wait at Marina Park and the other two bring a vehicle at Butler park and leave it there for the return ride to Marina Park to pick everyone up at the end of the excursion. That way If you’re tired you don’t have to make a round-trip. Please respect the environment and enjoy the viewing, exercise,Wildlife, and camaraderie.
