Elm Fork Trinity River

Description

This park includes an easy natural bank launch site beyond the gate (You must launch and recover beyond the buoy line that protects the water intake). There is a free parking area, and hiking and biking trails. This launch is part of the official Trinity River Paddling Trail and supports round trip paddles or access from California Crossing Launch. To go downstream you must portage Frasier Dam on the trail. There is usually not much water downstream from the dam until you near the confluence with the West Fork. For more information on the trail: https://trinitycoalition.org/ To get here you must approach on Harry Hines southbound, take the ramp towards I35 S, and turn immediately right into the park after passing under the I35 bridge.
