Foster City Boat Park

Foster City Lagoon - San Mateo, US

Description

This park connects to the Foster City lagoon that winds five miles, for a surface area of more than 200 acres.

"Maintenance staff uses an environmentally safe pond dye that blocks sunlight disrupting photosynthesis, which impedes the growth of aquatic weeds. The secondary effect is the beautiful blue color, which is purely aesthetic."

Night Paddling:

- should have active lighting

- be out of the water/parking lot by 10pm [confirmed with local Parks & Rec + Police Department Sept 2020]

- wind can pick up in the evening
