Embalse de Bembezar (Hornachuelos)

Artificial Lake

Description

There is a small parking lot at the beginning of the hiking trail. You may launch the kayak from there. The lake is surrounded by steep mountainsand greenery. Some nice formations on the eroded walls on the shore and the big building (old Catholic seminar) overlooking the lake. Right in front of the launching point you will see the dam and also two jetties used by the solar boat used for excursions in the lake and kayak rentals. You have to walk through the restaurant dining room to get there, so definitely not an option. There is also a zip line crossing the lake on that part, which belongs to an adventure park in the area.
