I scouted this site in October '23 and elected not to use it as a takeout on a downstream paddle of the Merrimack River. The small parking lot is about 150 yards from the only suitable put in/take out location on the island which is its extreme southern tip. At high tide it's easy to get in or out of your boat but difficult when the water is much lower. We passed it about the top 3rd of the tide on our paddle and felt it would be challenging to get the necessary footing to get out of a kayak. Much better to use the ramp 2 miles downstream at Cashmans landing.
