South Lake in Alligator River Refuge USFWS

Description

This is a undeveloped launch on a canal leading to South Lake, local crabbers moor their boats here in season. Recommend having a GPS or pay extra attention when exiting the canal for a landmark to find the right canal back in. Maps of the refuge are available at most of the roads leading into the refuge from US Hwy 64, would use the map as reference only, not for accurate measurements. Beautiful paddling and the fishing can be good, state licensing required.
