Cobbs Creek at SEPTA Market Frankford Line

Cobbs creek

Description

I took the MFL to 63rd street and walked with my NRS Outlaw 1 inflatable kayak down the trail to Cobbs creek (see photos in Comments section).
I paddled about 1.5 miles downstream to the SEPTA route 34 trolley stop at Baltimore Avenue, with about 25 percent walking through shallow riffles.
There is a nature center halfway, and I saw many deer, heron, ducks, fish and turtle.
Some trees fallen across the creek, but pretty manageable.
Because most of the land is within the protected Cobbs creek park, this is a gem for nature lovers.
