Description

Put in is a gravel lot. No ramp, kind of steep river bank. Great little stretch of river. Lots of tight turns, decent current (for a new paddler like me). Very quiet, road noise every now and again. Travel through a mix of woods, grasslands and a couple residential spots. Fair amount of brush overhangs and some fallen partially across the river. One spot with two fallen trees across – we got out a floated the canoe under it. A few submerged rocks (old concrete) scattered. Two foot bridges with clearance and one culvert at Cottonville Rd (we floated right through. Lots of what I assume are brook trout, but didn't have time to fish. After Cottonville Rd the river turns to a weedy flowage. Very shallow at the beginning. We took out at the boat ramp at Pine View Rd. Also a gravel ramp a little NW from Pine View Rd.
