Bush Declaration Natural Resources, 40-E Launch

James Run / Bush River

Description

This is a roadside spot popular for fishing. A kayak can be launched, however be aware this is a strep launch from dirt. Once on the water, follow under route 40, then under the CSX railway bridge to Bush Declaration Natural Resources. This is a unique location full of water fowl, and only accessible by kayak. From the launch, going opposite the bridges, will take you to more open water, the Bush River. This can be followed left, north east, to Perryman park, or southwest around Bar Harbor, and eventually the Amtrak train bridge. Once past this bridge, be mindful of the Aberdeen Proving Ground no landing zones.
